We are looking for coaches of all levels, but primarily for those with experience and the qualifications to work with performers achieving advanced skills such as twisting and double somersaults. Tay is a small club that has been improving year on year, and we would love for some new coaches to take an interest in our club and push the boundaries of what could be achieved.
With a strong student based coaching team, we would love for greater experience from coaches who may have been out of the game for a while to come back and have fresh vigour for our amazing sport.
After all, we all have to start somewhere! We will also be involved in the Northern League competitions where our six development squad members compete alongside our competitive squad. He is a Level 3 Club coach and works with all the gymnasts, from beginner to elite levels. Steve began coaching becuase his children were interested in gymnastics. He likes coaching the bars best of all.
Steve's favourite international gymnast is Nastia Liukin, because she is an "excellent and elegant all-rounder. John started to help when his eldest daughter began going to gym club in Leyland.

He particularly likes to coach flicks on floor. His favourite international gymnast is Seriena Johnrose "because she is from Garstang! Heather says that she started coaching "because my son was training such a lot that, rather than just sit and watch for hours, i thought I'd put my time to good use.
Sharon became a coach becuase her children were doing gymnastics and she decided to help out. Sharon coaches the younger club competiton girls and and her favourtie apparatus to coach is the beam. Her favourite international gymnast was the Hungarian Olympic medalist, Henrietta Onodi because " she was lovely to watch and always smiling.

She is a Level 3 club coach for Women's Artistic Gymnastics, and also has a Level 3 club coach qualification for General Gymnastics with an add-on module for coaching children with disabilities. Amanda coaches recreational gymnastics, a group of the older club competition girls and GSOG's Special Olympians of the future.
Like many of our coaches, she began coaching to pass the time whilst her own daughter trained. Her favourite apparatuses to coach are bars and beam. She works with the club competition girls on Tuesdays and Thursdays and likes to coach floor best of all because "there are so many different elements to teach. Zoe reached Grade 2 and won the silver medal on both bars and floor; as a Novice she won an all-around bronze medal.
